LearningWorks Aim High-AmeriCorps
LearningWorks Aim High

East End Community School is proud to partner with LearningWorks Aim High.

Aim High places teams of AmeriCorps Members in local elementary schools, where they serve as tutors and mentors in and out of the classroom. East End’s AmeriCorps Members boost students’ academic, social, and emotional development by:

  • Tutoring and mentoring students one-on-one
  • Instructing small groups of students
  • Supporting teachers in the classroom
  • Leading extended learning opportunities, like afterschool clubs and summer day camps

Would you like to support East End students by joining the Aim High team? AmeriCorps members are volunteers that dedicate themselves to serving their community. Aim High’s team is comprised of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. There are three levels of commitment:

  • Minimum-Time AmeriCorps Members serve 7-12 hours per week. They earn a $1,300 education award.
  • Half-Time AmeriCorps Members serve 25 hours per week for a full year or 40 hours per week for a semester. They earn a $5,500 annual living allowance and $3,000 education award.
  • Full-Time AmeriCorps Members serve 40 hours per week for a full year. Benefits include a $14,000 annual living allowance, $6,000 education award, health insurance, and eligibility for the AmeriCorps child care benefit.

Ideal candidates believe in the power of education and are committed to helping children thrive. For more information and to apply, visit the LearningWorks website or contact TBD, Aim High’s East End Site Coordinator, at [email protected]
