May 10, 2016:

Kindergarten students are working on letter and number paintings inspired by Jasper Johns. 

First and Second grade students are painting in the style of the Impressionists!

Third and Fourth grade students are looking at Architecture.

Fifth grade students are working on beautiful collages inspired by thier classroom work in narrative writing. These will be on display at the Celebration of Learning on June 9th!

  Late Winter/ Early Spring 2016:


We are working with clay in Kindergarten through 4th grade. 5th grade will work with clay after we finish creating collages to go with our Many Stories. 

Our student intern in art, Ms. Whitney is bringing lots of new ideas to the ceramics curriculum!!! for example, she introduced us to MIssissippian Head Pots. There is an image of one below

 recently visited the Clark Museum and saw a Louise Nevelson sculpture. Kindergarten students are building their own assemblages. Check back soon for pictures!
