EAST END STAFF SHARES TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE AT CONFERENCE

East End TeacherTwo East End Community School educators shared their expertise regarding personalizing student learning with the use of iPads at a conference of technology educators this month.

Third-grade teacher Mathew Brown and instructional coach Karen Fream presented at the Association of Computer Technology Educators of Maine (ACTEM) conference on Oct. 15 in Bangor on the topic of personalization of Learning with iPads.

The two described their use of iPads in the past five years at East End and how that use has evolved into the personalization of learning. They shared student's work on the iPad and applications that are effective to demonstrate student learning. They also demonstrated the use of applications to personalize each student's learning.
