Third Grade marks an important time as children transition from "the lower grades" to "the upper grades." It is a year in which student's learning becomes more independent and self-directed.
In Third Grade students progress from practicing basic skills to mastering them and moving on to further developing more complex skills. Third graders graduate from "learning to read" to "reading to learn."
Third Graders are beginning to see themselves as real readers, real writers, real mathematicians, and real thinkers as they dig deeper into topics and begin to analyze what they learn.
Students are ever striving to excel!
